ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS

Jim Fergle has over 20 years of experience in the employment field and is currently the Manager of Job Seeker Services for the workNet DuPage Career Center in Lisle, IL. A former U.S. Army officer, Jim has worked at the Illinois Department of Employment & Security; as a personnel recruiter; and, has held the positions of veteran’s counselor, career assessment counselor, and employment trainer. Jim has trained over 7,000 people in career exploration and job search techniques during his tenure. Mr. Fergle has been a featured speaker at the National Career Development Association and University of Wisconsin-Madison Career Conferences as well as numerous local Job Clubs and county events.

Jennifer Weggeman specializes in coaching job seekers, career changers and freelancers using creative problem-solving techniques. For over 25 years, she has worked with a large network of executive leaders in corporate, government, not for profit and entrepreneurial organizations. A Career Consultant with a global talent mobility company for five years, Ms. Weggeman provided job search and career related support to international companies relocating employees & their spouses/partners. She currently serves as a Workshop Facilitator and Career Counselor for the workNet DuPage Career Center.

Jennifer received her Master of Arts degree from DePaul University at the School for New Learning with a focus area on Coaching and Leading Groups. For the past 12 years, she has taught Exploring Success Techniques for Enhancing Career Skills and other career skills building courses at DePaul University. Recently at Benedictine University, she served as Instructor for the Master of Science in Leadership program for women, designing and teaching the course Strategic Planning for Effective Leaders.
