Are you interested in starting a business? Are you interested in applying for grants and contracts? Creating a business plan is one of the most important steps you will need to take to start a business. A Business Plan serves as a road map for your business and helps you complete grant and contract applications and write effective proposals.

The business plan projects 3-5 years ahead and outlines the route a company intends to take to reach its yearly milestones, including revenue projections. A well thought out plan also helps you to step back and think objectively about the key elements of your business venture and informs your decision-making on a regular basis.

This business plan tool provides you with a step-by-step guide to help you get started. The information entered into this tool can only be viewed by accessing your private account using the password you have specified. Not only can you save your business plan as a PDF file, but you can also print it, update it at any time, making this a living plan to which you can often refer. You can also use your completed business plan to discuss the next steps with a mentor and receive a free consultation from an SBA Consultant.

Complete each section of the Business Plan Tool at your own pace. Save your work at any time and pick up where you left off the next time you log into the tool. Your information will be saved for up to six months after your last login date.

During the step-by-step process, this tool will update the status of your business plan. Once you save your information and move to a new section in the business plan, a check mark will appear in the numbered section menu at the top of the screen denoting when each section is complete.

Register and get started now! No Deadline. Self-paced.

Presented by: Melissa Osuch, CFEd, Financial Advisor, Strategic Advisors of Illinois

Managing your money while unemployed is a unique and challenging experience, but there are definitely things you can do to keep your personal finances under control. This program will focus on learning what you can do while in transition to maintain your financial health and prioritize your financial goals. Knowing what resources are available to you and how to cut expenses can alleviate some of the financial burden of unemployment. Now that tax season is underway, Melissa will discuss new tax law changes for 2020.

Melissa Osuch is a Financial Advisor with over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. She has worked as a bank Vice President, a bank consultant, and is currently a registered investment advisor representative. She spent six years as a corporate trainer and enjoys teaching adults and motivating individuals to plan for their future. Melissa earned both her MBA and Certificate in Financial Planning from DePaul University. In addition, she holds licenses in insurance, long term care and annuities as well as her FINRA Series 7, 66 and 24 licenses.

Self-paced.

Self-paced.
