Many people have preconceived ideas about what constitutes sexual harassment in the workplace. In today’s society there is no room for doubt. Employees need to know for certain what sexual harassment is and what to do when they are confronted with it.

Participants will engage in a series of thoughtful discussions and exercises about the different perceptions of appropriate and inappropriate conduct. Participants will learn about two types of sexual harassment: quid pro quo and hostile work environment. The training will focus on how to employ several precautionary measures to avoid misunderstandings and accusations of sexual harassment in the workplace.  (2 hours)

Presented by: Bill Burnett, author, Founder, Sales P.A.R Excellence and Manufacturing P.A.R Excellence

Nobel Laureate Daniel Kahneman discovered that people evaluate experiences like the job interview based on peaks (good or bad) and how the experience ended. In this session, Bill Burnett will show how to leverage the Peak/End phenomenon as you prepare for and deliver an outstanding interview. In this session, Bill will cover best practices, including creating interesting stories around your accomplishments and how to skillfully deliver a memorable interview. Additionally, Bill will discuss what psychologists have identified as power question types such as the Counter Factual Hypothetical question. The insight gained from this session will provide you with an edge over competitors and boost your chances of winning the job!

Bill Burnett is currently working with manufacturers to implement a business operating methodology specifically designed for the needs of manufacturers. He has a wealth of operating experience along with international experience having lived in six countries outside the USA. Bill has also worked with local teams in a variety of cultural settings in more than 60 additional countries. Bill's experience includes 10 years as Senior Vice President, Head of Global Operations at Diners Club International, and another 5 as Senior Vice President Strategic Initiatives. He has also worked for the US Forest Service, Pittsburg National Bank, Bank of America, Textron, and Citigroup.

Bill has written four books including The Peak Interview: How to Win the Interview and Get the Job, (completing a fifth) and numerous articles. He holds a BA from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Masters in International Business from the Moore School at the University of South Carolina.

Faith-Based Mentoring: Engaging Your Community View

Add to Calendar 12/20/2018 1:00 PM 12/20/20182:15 PM America/Chicago Faith-Based Mentoring: Engaging Your Community
Faith-based mentoring offers an opportunity for church ministries, nonprofits, and other religious entities to engage and build relationships with members of their community. This particular form of mentoring can raise questions about unsolicited evangelism particularly among non-religious stakeholders and those of different faiths, sustainability, and general operational questions.

During this webinar we will hear from leaders in the faith-based mentoring sphere as they share methods and considerations for recruiting, screening and training staff and volunteers. They will also speak about bridging the gap between secular and faith-based organizations, and how to sustain as an organization. We will hear from a faith-based mentoring program about how they engage young people and their families, as well as the community. Attendees will learn more about how they have built relationships with external stakeholders that have led to operating a sustainable program with non-volunteer employees.

This webinar will be equally as beneficial for secular programs, schools, and other businesses as they learn how to engage potential mentors and other volunteers who come from ministries of faith.
