Desi was interested in truck driving and enrolled in January 2022. Desi went through forklift training and received his certification in February 2022. A week later, he started truck driving training through the 160 Truck Driving Academy. He received his CDP (Permit) in March 2022. It has been a pleasure working with Desi throughout this process. Desi continues to work hard and shows determination to complete the training successfully. This month, He will test to obtain his CDL and enter his career field.

Desi stated, “I am so blessed to have been connected with the Accelerate program; being connected allowed me opportunities that I couldn’t even imagine.”

Tayvon enrolled in the Accelerate program in January 2022 and attended the very first "Let’s Talk Trucking" informational session facilitated by the Accelerate program in January 2022. He was driven to accomplish his goals and showed that through his persistence in getting things done ahead of time. He became forklift certified in February 2022, started CDL-A training immediately after, and completed CDL-A in March 2022.
