Morgan came to our WIOA office seeking financial assistance to complete the Clinical Medical Assistant program at Heartland Community College. She was unemployed, married with 3 children, and her husband was earning an unsustainable wage for their family. Morgan completed the Clinical Medical Assistant program at Heartland Community College in the spring and participated in an unpaid externship over the summer. During her externship she was able to find employment in the healthcare field and is now earning a wage which has helped her family reach financial self-sufficiency.
