John earns degree and lands dream job

Program Details
After being laid off as a result of a Mitsubishi Motors plant closure, John inquired services from the Livingston Workforce Services. He planned to obtain his Associates degree and was interested in pursuing a field that would allow him to be hands on. He progressed extremely well throughout the two years he spent going to school, graudating with a 3.911 GPA. Throughout his training he was introduced to the water industry. As a result he lined up job shadowing and internship opportunities at Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment facilities that earned him the necessary hours to become certified. At the conclusion of his internship, he was hired as a Technician at Illinois American Water.
