Program Description

With the growth of smart devices and the huge data they generate, plus the ability of computers to digest and learn from this data, Big Data Analytics has become a critical area of focus for most businesses. In the Predictive Analytics Using Big Data course, students will learn about predictive models that create business value from Big Data solutions, the technology (databases, query languages, architectures), and Big Data Analytics statistical techniques. Secondly, Tableau offers tools to connect to and transform massive amounts of data into visualizations, dashboards, and interactive worksheets. Learn how to manipulate data with calculations to show insights, make visualizations interactive and perform statistical analysis. Third, learn how to keep accurate and current records about business financial activities with Microsoft Excel, the most widely used spreadsheet software application. The four Excel classes help prepare for the MOS Excel certification. Fourth, by obtaining essential skills in Microsoft Azure, IT professionals can open doors to new opportunities and use their expertise to unite the power of the cloud with the demand for deeper insight into customer data. Fifth, Python is a popular programming language in the enterprise setting. This program explores complex and applied areas of Python. Students will learn how to define a predictive modeling problem to study, learn R commands for data analysis, program a real-time predictive tool, and apply their approach to different predictive problems as part of class projects.
