Program Description
Students that pursue this certificate program will be prepared to begin entry-level careers as a member of a healthcare team. Students receive the specialized training through the completion of courses in the creation and maintenance of medical records, medical terminology, medical machine transcription, medical coding for out-patient health care, office procedures and computer applications software skills. A grade of C or higher in BUS 104 is required for graduation.

Application Procedure
Each student must meet WIOA eligibility requirements and Triton College admissions requirements. A high school/GED transcript must be provided to the school, students with less than a Bachelor's degree must take the Triton College placement test and all students must fill out a Triton College application. Cost of books, fees and required materials are subject to change. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $5,000.

- Language - Must speak, read and write in English
- Writing - Must take Triton College placement test
- Prerequisites - Must be at college level in writing to take BUS 122 or may need to take RHT 095 and/or RHT 096
