Program Description

The certificate program prepares students for potential positions as front desk clerks, reservationists, concierge, guest attendants and other entry-level positions in the Hotel industry. Students develop skills in guest handling procedures, basic supervision, housekeeping and planning catering functions. This program may be completed by full-time students in one year. All courses can be applied to the AAS in Hotel and Motel Management.

Each student must meet WIOA eligibility criteria. Each student must also meet Triton College requirements such as filling out a Triton application, taking college placement tests and provide high school transcripts. The cost of tuition, books, fees and required materials are subject to change. This fee is the responsibility of the participant or the service provider that is sponsoring them to attend. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $3,000.

  • Language - Must speak, read and write in English
  • Writing - Must take Triton College placement test
  • Prerequisites - RHT 101 requires college level or RHT 095 and/or RHT 96
