Program Description

This 16 credit-hour certificate program is designed to build the core competencies of manufacturing production to prepare students for internships and entry-level positions in manufacturing. The MFT coursework below prepares the student for an industry recognized certification assessment. Students who successfully pass all four assessments will be recognized as Certified Production Technicians by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC).

Application Procedure

3WIOA and TAA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Books can be ship if requested for a small fee. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan.4 The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.

  • Writing - Per College Placement Test Cut-off Scores
  • Other - All credit-seeking WIOA clients must have initial & ongoing academic advising
