Program Description

This 19 credit-hour certificate program is designed to serve the needs of individuals who want the core education the Law Enforcement program offers. It also provides students with basic concepts recognized in the Security Industry. It furthers the partnerships between Law Enforcement and Private Security and offers the student an opportunity to incorporate a Certificate in Private Security within the AAS Degree in Law Enforcement thereby producing a stackable degree, something that did not exist in the Law Enforcement programs in the past.

Must contact Diane Carter-Zubko at 847-758-2372 when approved to pursue program at Harper. Student must apply to Harper College www.harpercollege.edu pay $25 application fee or obtain fee waiver code from Diane Carter-Zubko at 847-758-2372. Student will be directed to appropriate Harper College Academic Advisor for an educational plan. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $3,000.

  • Math - Per College Placement Test Cut-off Scores
  • Reading - Per College Placement Test Cut-off Scores
  • Language - Instruction is in English
  • Writing - Per College Placement Test Cut-off Scores
  • Other - All credit-seeking WIOA clients must have initial & ongoing academic advising
