Program Description

This 34-credit-hour certificate program builds on the Maintenance I Certificate to prepare students for more advanced maintenance jobs in commercial or industrial maintenance. Learn about various aspects of commercial maintenance with this 32-credit-hour certificate program. This is an ideal program for someone interested in entering the more advanced fields of commercial and industrial maintenance. Take classes in electrical wiring, prints and schematics, carpentry, plumbing, small equipment maintenance, heating principles, welding, machining processes, fire prevention principles, refrigeration fundamentals and more. Harper College is an ideal place to study commercial maintenance. All academic programs reflect current workforce needs and are designed to give you the skills needed to get out and succeed in the workplace. Credit earned for this program can be applied toward Harper's Maintenance Technology Degree AAS Degree.

Student must apply to Harper College www.harpercollege.edu pay $25 application fee or obtain fee waiver code from Diane Carter-Zubko at 847-758-2372. Student will be directed to appropriate Harper College Academic Advisor for an educational plan. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.
