Program Description

This 23-credit hour certificate program is designed to prepare students for business software development. The student will be prepared for an entry-level software development position. Students should have a strong mathematics background prior to enrollment in software development courses. Placement into MTH 101 or higher is required, and MTH 103 is recommended. Application Procedure

WIOA or Trade program clients may do initial "program exploration" paperwork with Diane Carter-Zubko by calling 847-758-2372 or emailing dcarterz@harpercollege.edu for an appointment. When client's agency approves Harper as training provider, agency sends referral form and Release of Information waiver to Diane Carter-Zubko, who will provide application fee waiver code and refer client for academic advising to create training/cost plan. Continued academic advising is required each semester until program completion. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.

  • Math - Must meet placement cut-off score for MTH 101 or higher
  • Language - Instruction is in English
  • Prerequisites - Placement into MTH 101 or equivalent prior credit
