  1. Monitoring activities are critical to identifying discriminatory practices and largely depend on the existence of verifiable applicant and participant data. Data is collected and maintained by race/ethnicity, sex, age, and disability status. All applicant characteristics are collected at point of intake and/or service. Race/ethnicity categories are stipulated through Federal requirements and our data collection efforts reflect the following classifications:
    1. White; Black or African-American;
    2. Hispanic or Latino;
    3. Native American; and
    4. Asian/Pacific Islander.
  2. The information is used only for recordkeeping, reporting, determining applicant eligibility, and determining program compliance with nondiscrimination requirements for specified, targeted groups. The collection of data reflects the composition of the LWIA workforce at each geographical location by race/ethnicity, sex, age, disability status, and any other category that DCEO may require.
